From Game Dev to
AI Engineering

Hey — I’m Aryan Rejo, an Associate Software Engineer at Publicis Media in New York. I started building game scripts and Discord bots, evolved into large-scale data engineering, and I’m now building AI-powered tools at work while actively transitioning into AI/ML engineering.

At Publicis, I maintain ingestion workflows for 55+ data sources aggregating 1+ PB of data across Databricks Medallion-architecture pipelines. I’ve led migration of 15+ sources from legacy Redshift to Databricks and built internal AI-assisted tools using Azure AI model endpoints in Python and C#.

On the side, I’m building a Python chess engine from scratch using bitboard architecture — FastAPI backend, React/Vite frontend — aimed at becoming a full AI chess coaching and analysis platform.
